YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES IF TEN MILLION FIREFLIES LIT UP THE WORLD AS I FELLASLEEP CAUSE THEY'D FILL THE OPEN AIR AND LEAVE TEAR DROPS She really didn't know why she was here. Okay, so maybe she did. That didn't make it any better, though. It kind of sort of made it worse. When Thalia was stressed, she'd go hunting, or she'd go take out all her stress into training or do something. But she'd slashed dummies to pieces, and she'd sparred with Chris, and Clarisse when he'd gotten too tired, and yet she could still feel her muscles, tense under her Hunter's uniform, with no signs of actually relaxing. She could go talk to Jason - but Jason was trying to get used to being around both camps, since he was a leader in one and a former leader in the other. She could go talk to Annabeth - but Annabeth was always busy now and the daughter of Zeus wouldn't allow herself to bog the daughter of Athena down with anything more to worry about. She could go talk to Pe-- no, he was Percy, that didn't work, she didn't trust him like that. The Hunters - she could go talk to one of her sisters, but then again, she didn't know if they would actually care about her problems when there were boys around to mess with and other girls to recruit. Everyone seemed to be finding themselves a place in this whole move but the daughter of Zeus, and a certain son of Hermes pretending to be a son of Mercury. But then again, he had every right to feel out of place and hiding - even if Thalia wanted to beat him over the head with her spear.
So, she had no one to talk to. Well, she did, but she was forcing herself not to talk to those people - so they didn't count, so she was alone anyway. It was a wonderful thing, being alone, but right now, it kind of sucked. That's why she found herself in the overly dramatic, extremely elaborate temple that belonged to Jupiter Optimus Maximus - aka Daddykins. Thalia thought everything was slightly blown out of proportion for Zeus' temple. even more than Zeus' cabin way back at Camp Half-Blood. Then again, she'd always agreed with Poseidon who'd said her father would've fared much better as the god of theatre than the lord of the sky. After all, he had the unique talent of quoting Shakespeare to annoy Hera - one of the only things she appreciated that her father did. Now, she was here to speak to him about her problems because she figured that it was the least he could do, one of the many versions of himself listening to her problems - at least some of her problems. It wasn't as if he had really done anything for her - all he'd done was take away her brother and give him to his psychotic wife, and turned her into a tree. Really, he didn't have a good track record.
She cleared her throat. "Err, hey Dad," she started off awkwardly. "Things are going ... oddly, not that you care. Jason's fitting back in perfectly, just in case Jupiter's wondering - which he's probably not, but either way." She took a minute to sort herself out. "The peace effort's going better than anyone expected, really. No one's been killed or maimed yet - we have Clarisse, daughter of Ares, under lock and key, and her weapon, Maimer II, is under guard of her boyfriend, a son of Hermes." She bit down on her tongue, her mind going to the thought of another son of Hermes momentarily. "The leaders here, me not included, are handling things well. I'm pretty much a spotter, to make sure there's no killing or maiming or anything of the sort. Civil wars and all that," she said, and rolled her eyes. She was sure that everyone knew that maybe even more than half of each camp was ready to start a bloody war, just because they were Romans and Greeks and they were different. Thalia thought the whole thing was stupid, even though she was sure that she'd be one of the ones fighting against the Romans if there were to be a war, just solely based on their attitude and baseless hatred, and their insane paranoia. Thalia fingered the hair that was thrown over one shoulder, staring up at the large, almost intimidating statue of the Roman counterpart of her father. "I know you're not listening, you never listened, but ...," she trailed off, shrugging wordlessly, and turned around to leave, feeling stupid for thinking that Zeus could help her in some way.

Bella was not a big fan of this camp. She missed being in New York. Why the hell was she even here? Oh yeah. She was helping Percy and the rest of her friends and family. It had been a little while since Marcus died, and she was not happy. She hadn't been happy in months and it was definitely NOT fun. She hated life and everything in it, but she did not complain to anyone. She never let anyone close enough. She just wallowed in self-pity for everything that was going on and she refused to talk about it. It was better to sit around and let things stew before she talked to anyone about it. Either way, she was not too happy about things and she pushed them aside to care for her cousins and even her sister-but from afar.
Thalia was never really a big fan of hers, and at first Bella was not a fan of her sisters either. Unfortunately Thalia grew on the daughter of Zeus and Bella now had someone else to care for and worry about. Stupid fatal flaw. Why couldn't she have gotten something like Thalia's flaw where she is tempted to accept power when it is offered? Life would be so much easier! If she didn't have to freaking care about everyone then she could finally have some time for herself. Was that really so much to ask? All she wanted was a little peace and quiet, but no. Her mind was constantly filled with what would happen if one of her family members was next in line to be killed. Bella would rather die than live with the grief of losing someone else that was close to her, it hurt too much to deal with these kinds of things.
Making her way to the temple of Jupiter, Bella pulled a face at the sight of it. She liked her father, don't get her wrong, but she hated the idea of there being MORE half-siblings that came from her father's Roman counterpart. She just[/] got used to Thalia, she did not need more half-siblings running around. Taking a deep breath and wandering inside the temple, she spotted a familiar flash of brown hair as she spotted Thalia. The younger girl tilted her head lightly, raising an eyebrow at her sister as she listened to Thalia attempt to pray to Zeus. Well. This is sufficiently awkward. Bella occupied her thoughts by looking around the temple, trying to give her sister some privacy but she could not help but hear the sadness in her sister's voice as she finished and soon stood up. Bella knew how it felt to feel ignored by a parent, and she felt her heart throb for her sister. The girl frowned, leaning against a pillar nearby as she watched her sister closely. "You know, Dad rarely ever listens... But that's what you have Jason for... And me..." she murmured, looking away from her sister and staring at one of the statues of their father nearby. They had never been really close, but Bella always tried to connect with her sister. Sure, Bella was never the most patient person when it came to Thalia, but she still tried, and that was what mattered.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES IF TEN MILLION FIREFLIES LIT UP THE WORLD AS I FELLASLEEP CAUSE THEY'D FILL THE OPEN AIR AND LEAVE TEAR DROPS Thalia wasn't someone that stuck to one place, and called it a home. The only place that she'd lived for, long-term, was California - and she'd hated it there. The weather was never changing, and it had been miserable, and she hated hot weather anyway. A winter baby at heart, born three days before Christmas day, she loved the cold weather and snow and everything that came along with the winter season something fierce. If she had to pick somewhere that she'd love to stay, it would be New York. The city that never sleeps had held her heart, her roots - literally - when she'd been a tree. It had been where she'd had her first Christmas with Luke, it had been where the Battle of Manhattan had been won, it was where Camp Half-Blood was, it was where Olympus was ... she loved it more than any place else. However, the Hunters traveled. She was never in one place for long, and so she didn't put her roots down anywhere, didn't try to fall in love with some place else. Camp Half-Blood was home, really - it was the only place that she could claim but the streets.
Thalia didn't do family. She wasn't big on keeping people close to her, and if you were one of those five people that were close to her, then you were damn lucky. Jason, Luke, Annabeth, Grover, and Percy - those were the five people that she cared for, Percy slightly reluctantly, but Annabeth would kill her if she didn't at least try to be nice to her cousin, since they were now boyfriend and girlfriend. Thalia, however much she thought they belonged together, would always have her mace canister spear ready to go if he ever hurt her - nothing either of them said would ever take her off that alert. Isabella ... wasn't one of those people. Thalia knew she would never be. She didn't just tack on people, just because they were related to her. In fact, being one of the children of Zeus, Isabella just made her more paranoid. If Jason wasn't her full blood brother, if she hadn't taken care of him when he was little - if he'd just been another half sibling, Thalia knew that she wouldn't be able to stand him. They wouldn't be close - they'd probably argue all the time, and not be able to be in the same room for five minutes without trying to electrocute one another.
Thalia spun around, heart racing in shock for a second. Her adrenaline had started pumping, ready to spin around and stab any attacker with a spear that was itching to be used, but she realized that it was only Isabella. "Eavesdropping is really low," Thalia snarled. "I don't want your pity - I know that look, don't even try to deny it. Don't you have better things to do? You said Dad rarely listens - so then why are you here?" Thalia snapped at the technically-younger girl. Thalia had never been the forgiving type, ever the first to be on the offense - she couldn't help it. However, she felt no remorse. The girl had stood there and listened as Thalia had attempted, and failed miserably, to be a good daughter and try to communicate with her king-of-the-gods father. The Hunter couldn't help but be angry.
