Well not exactly for the way she looks at you. You see, not many people know this but Hazel Levesque should technically not be roaming this earth at all. She looks thirteen, and in all workings of body she is thirteen. But the girl's birthday is on the 17th of December.... 1928. Do your math, and you'll realize that Hazel is technically supposed to be 70, either a waddling grandmother or dead. Certainly not in the body of a girl on the brink of her teens, wielding a spatha and manipulating underground tunnels and precious metal, and definitely not waltzing around modern day California, being confused and lost by all the new technology she was overwhelmed with.
Sometimes she wondered if coming back was the right choice. Looking at her brother Nico, Hazel couldn't help but wonder why did her do it. Was he trying to look for a second chance for himself to redeem what he couldn't do for Bianca? Her heart ached whenever she heard the name of the sister she never knew slip out of Nico's lips. Selfish? Not really. Just that all her life, Hazel's never really had anyone to rely on but her mother, and even Marie Levesque was slightly off her rocker until the final few moments. In the fields of asphodel, Hazel could feel it the most, but really she had been mostly alone throughout her life. Sammy had been a welcome reprieve, but after they had left to Alaska, Hazel felt the loneliness more acutely then ever. So to know that she had an elder brother (or younger, depending on how you see it) made her incredibly happy. She wished she could be as Bianca was to him, but whilst he may not have as much love for her as he had for his full blooded sister, Hazel still loves her new found brother, and is very protective over him. She would do whatever it takes to get him back from wherever Gaea had taken him.

for being the oddball around. sort of. she's mentioned it before to Percy, when the boy first landed in camp Jupiter, that if the Romans arranged the demigod children according to their parents, she would be all alone. not that hazel wasn't used to being alone, what with so many years of practice, but there's no denying that Hazel Levesque is a certified oddball. Oh sure, she looks just fine. Her long, dark hair curls on its own, and everyday she combes it out to make sure it doesn't tangle. Eyes that had been described akin to fourteen karat gold would shine when she laughs, literal windows to her soul. The mark that appears on alll jupiter campers was present on her arm, showing against her ivory skin, but that is where the normalcy ends.
The only daughter of Pluto in camp Jupiter, her powers make her shy away from everyone. After all, if you were to see a diamond or a bar of gold popping up at your feet, wouldn't you take it? When the thirteen year old tells you to step away from it though, you better take her advice. Like her brother, Hazel is very much an underworld deity, and everything she summons from the earth would probably send you to a dark death should you touch it. Even now, Hazel is still not entirely sure how it works, but better to be safe then sorry, she makes sure no one touches the precious gems and metals she manages to subconsciously bring to the surface of earth during one of her moods. The other reason for her to be so cautious and wary of everyone however, is also due to her past.
Other then Frank, Percy and Luke, no one knew of the fact that Hazel was actually brought back to life by Nico de Angelo. And that was a secret she meant to keep with her until the day Thanatos came to drag her back to her rightful place. Luke was a given, since Nico had brought him back with her, and since then Hazel had gotten really close to the guy, since he was the only one she could confide any of her fears of being brought back to the Underworld to. But if it wasn't for the quest, Hazel doubted she would've even told Frank and Percy, even if Frank was supposed to be her best friend.
Otherwise however, when not troubled by her past or the fact that she could make it rain gold given enough material... Hazel is pretty much your average bright and outgoing thirteen year old. Puzzled by technology, she tries to keep away from anything electronic, but the girl has an excellent sense of creativity and an even greater love for horses. Arion is one of the most precious things she had in the world now, and she adored the creature, even if the fact that he curses like a sailor bothers her just a little. Putting her on a boat will only earn you a death glare, so unless its absolutely necessary, Hazel isn't about to go on any form of water transport. Occasionally, you can see a sense of self-blaming, guilt for being the one who had released Alcyoneus in the first place, but it is because of that that Hazel feels an even greater responsibility to put him back where he belongs.

very very, extraordinary! well what do you expect, from a girl who was brought back from the fields of asphodel through the unguarded doors of death? Born in 1929, Hazel had lived her whole life in New Orleans, and even till today it is still Sammy who stood out the most in her life. Cursed by her mother's wantf or the riches of the earth, Hazel's power is seen more as a hindrance then a help - that is, until she learns how to properly harness it. Tricked by Gaea to raise Alcyoneus, Hazel realized the lies at the last minute, and managed to prevent the giant from raising, but not without cost. It threw her and her mother in to the Underworld, and even if she was given a chance to go to Elysium, she pleaded so that both her and Queen Maie ended up in the Fields of Asphodel. When Nico brought her out, he explained to everyone at Camp Jupiter that she was just a normal child of Pluto, but Hazel being paranoid, just wonders if everyone doesn't already guess where she comes from.
The second chance of life scares Hazel, but at the same time gives her a new determination to right the wrongs. Becoming a legionaire due to a fluke of luck was one thing, but going on the quest with Percy and Frank had given her a new form of confidence, one that Hazel needed in order to at least do her part in the prophecy. Having been all ready to go back to the Underworld when they freed Thanatos, the fact that the death angel did not drag her back with him was enough to tell Hazel that she needed to right her wrong. She had been the one to raise Alcyoneous, so be it, she'll help in putting him back where he belongs.
Her blackouts annoy her, make her seem weak, and above all else, made her miss Sammy with a pain that was palpable. But Frank... Frank helped with that. Frank was different, he... made her forget the fact that she had missed out on so much in her first life. While she may blush at his overzealous need to help her, Hazel thinks the son of Mars is adorable. At times, she wonders just what could come out of it. Wouldn't she be dragged back in to the Underworld once the quest was over, and no one would yhave any further need for her? Stll, having died once before, it has taught Hazel the quality of Carpe Diem, and she would live each day like it was her last. Who said being a demigod was easy anyway?

is for everyone that she cares about. she knows loneliness, has felt it acutely, so now that she has friends and people she cares about, Hazel is highly protective over them. She would learn anything and do anything to keep them away from harm. Hazel knows she's the daughter of Pluto, and with Nico together with the newly formed alliance of Romans and Greeks, they could take down the giants. But the first and foremost of what she wants to do right now is get her brother back, and try and make sure no one else gets hurt or missing in the process.

hey, so i'm kitsie. i've been roleplaying for 5 years now. as well as this character, i also play n/a... for now. you can reach me by pm is fine if you need me for anything. i found made up stories like son of neptune and i'm pretty glad i did. here's an example of mah skillz. (:
really, are you surprised that a girl like ashley burton would absolutely adore festivals? she wasn't the youngest of the family by far, her youngest sister alice had that honor, yet half the time you could just see ashley gambolling right alongside alice, it was hard to believe that she was the all-feared hitwoman of the ryujin. hard to believe no, that the girl who climbed trees and played with her pokemon could kill in cold blood? but that's just who she was, no mistake about it. for today though, ashley just wanted to have fun. the whole week had been a mess of headaches and incompetent underlings, and the girl was up to there in patience. and then there was that idiot that callum and lance saddled her with... the one who thought hecould take her job. please. ashley burton's job? she had been trained by her aunt to take over, who else could do it better then the hitwoman of the ryujin herself? lucas reyes needed a wakeup call, and ashley was half-prepared to give one to him herself, and she was very sure he wouldn't get out of it unscathed either. burtons were vicious battlers, and ashley was the perfect example.
not that ashley didn't enjoy her job, don't get her wrong. the girl loved being a ryujin master, and helping her brother and father on their one goal. but when it comes to mouthy people she had to work with... ooh, wouldn't ashley just love to set judas on those people. she'd be happy to watch her houndour burn the hair off their heads and walk off to have some tea. sadly for her, that idea seems unfeasible since ashley doubted callum would be all too happy with her turning some of their grunts in to charcoal, so instead ashley just decided to come to the festival for the day, and hopefully avoid anyone who put her temper on end and just have some fun and regain some of that patience of hers. falkor had brought her here, her togekiss carrying her easily through the skies to land in sinnoh. as a reward, she had given falkor the rest of the day away from his pokeball, and knowing he would come back when she summoned, the girl just let him be as she entered in to the throngs of the festival going at full swing.
with her axew in her arms, the girl manouvered her way through the crowded sea of people, tightening her grip when her baby-like unova region pokemon started squirming at the sight of one of the many carnival foods. hungry piglet that it was, ashley laughed as she tightened her hold on it. "shush now rinjin, you can't devour the whole festival, daddy would have my head if he had to pay for everything." seriously, as rich as the burtons were, she doubted lance burton would be happy having the foot the bill for the amount of food rinjin seemed to be able to consume in one go. so keeping a tight hold on her axew, the girl wandered closer to a stall selling candied apples and cotton candy. "how bout it rinjin? some caramel apples? or do you want to play with cotton candy?" she asked her axew, a tender smile playing on her lips as she watched her beloved pokemon peering quite studiously at the food. other then family, only her pokemon got the most gentle side of ashley, and rinjin especially so. she loved them all dearly, but to earn the love of ashley burton took a lfietime and possibly more.
