There is an island in the Pacific Ocean that exerts "otherworldly" behaviors. Any planes that pass overhead crash, and any boats that come within a mile's distance either wash up on shore or sink. Survivors must battle not only the civilizations that have formed, but the world governments that want to destroy the island and a mysterious illness that consumes sanity. Will they escape, protect the island, or die with it?
