C A N T T A K E T H E K I D F R O M T H E F I G H T TAKE THE FIGHT FROM THE KID, JUST SIT BACK, JUST SIT BACK, JUST SIT BACK AND RELAX- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It was weird enough being back at Camp Jupiter, but what made it even weirder was the fact that there were Greeks running around and a big hulking warship added to the scenery. Imagine her shock walking reluctantly back to the place she had called home for eleven years of her life and finding things in this state. A part of her thought if this would have happened if she had stayed at Camp Jupiter and taken her shot at Praetor but she quickly pushed that thought from her head because she knew she didn’t belong at Camp Jupiter anymore, not after all that had happened.
Since she was back at Camp though Lux found it was best to find as many distractions as possible. She spent a lot of time in the barracks practicing her swordsmanship and sometimes if she wasn’t in a horrible mood she would give advice to the other less experienced campers. However being stuck in the barracks for too long wasn’t good for her nerves with all the memories that were associated with the place. Sure she got out into town but still everyone seemed to remember her there or she remembered too much about it. There were just too many memories in Camp Jupiter and New Rome, which is why Lux somehow thought it was a good idea to check out that hulking warship.
The random impulse seemed like a good idea at the time. However as she boarded the ship she realized it was a bad idea. Impulsive wasn’t a trait that Lux would use to describe herself, but being back at Camp Jupiter seemed to really be messing with her head. Even when she was travelling around for the past four years each stop was planned and she always had a strategy, even if they were made last minute she made a point of not acting out of impulse anymore. Impulse was what got her friends killed after all.
The whole impulsive thing wasn’t exactly the whole problem either, the boat itself was. Lux was the daughter of the Lord of the Sky, not the sea. Then there was the Roman part of her that didn’t particularly enjoy travelling via boat. However part of her felt a little comfortable at the fact that the boat flew, there was still just something about it that made her uneasy. Oh and there was also the fact that she wasn’t really sure if she was even supposed to be on the boat anyway seeing as she kind of flew up onto the main deck. Pulling out a cigarette Lux looked around the boat as she lit up wandering how the hell the Greeks could have been hidden from them for this long.

CODE "Who in the flying hell are you?"These words erupted from the mouth of the individual who had already stood in front of her with a sword pointed straight at her throat, this was in fact his way to greet a member of the Jupiter camp at this time. His eyes narrowed upon her form, she was in fact gorgeous but in his eyes, she was up to something and he wanted to find out what. And she had some nerve boarding the ship of the half-blood camp. The individual did not take it upon himself to start the introductions, in fact he waited for what she would say to him as he stood there, still holding his blade at her throat, he was ready to slice her throat open and leave her for dead, well not on the ship as once he was finished slicing open her throat, she would be tossed over board which would become her final resting place.
As the man stood there with the blade in his hand still held in the same spot, he began to contemplate whether or not he should let her live, the contemplation became his thoughts as he began to think Is she deaf as I have not heard a peep from her yet. Now a deaf member of the Jupiter camp could be entertaining but right now, would it be worth killing this intruder? Well maybe I should just get it over with since it would benefit me in the way that it would be fun to do so. The man did not even budge, not for a second, well he did lower the sword some which would give her a chance to make a move, whether it be to try her luck at fighting him or getting away, while he reached for a cigarette, himself. He used one hand to lift the sword back to her throat before she'd have a chance to take any further step or movement toward the option she had taken, of course the other hand, he used to place the cigarette he fished from his pocket between his lips and then reach back into his pocket for his lighter.
Once he felt his lighter with his fingers, he grasped tightly onto the object. As soon as he was able to bring out of his pocket and to the tip of his cigarette, he pressed down on the button which would ignite the lighter's flame and bring his cigarette to life. Once he had finished such a task, he placed the light back into his pocket and took a deep drag upon the cancer stick. Now while he waited for the answer to his question, he stood there quietly and glanced upon the form of the Jupiter girl and smirked as he was ready to kill her if he needed to.
"If you do not wish to speak, then perhaps I could slice off your gorgeous head and place it on my mantle so that I can stare into your beautiful eyes once they are closed by my sword and revel in the killing of such beauty. Although I said such a thing, I would much rather get the answer I want, so I shall ask again..." He spoke these words with malice at first since he was unsure whether or not he would trust someone from Jupiter but then again, the Greek demigods were here for a reason, so he was trying to be nice to them all but it was quite hard to be nice at this stage as it seemed to him that this was an act of war from the Romans. Now the man who stood before her was quick and did smoke but for those who knew him would know of course that he was the son of Ares, the one whose name was known within the Roman camp. The name of this man was Lucifer Mikael Mason.

C A N T T A K E T H E K I D F R O M T H E F I G H T TAKE THE FIGHT FROM THE KID, JUST SIT BACK, JUST SIT BACK, JUST SIT BACK AND RELAX- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - When Lux decided to sneak onto the Greek boat she really didn’t have any intention of causing trouble. It wasn’t like her to purposely seek trouble; she was level headed and reasonable… to an extent. Its not like she’s perfect, people are allowed to have moments where they just don’t want to be responsible or just need a break. Sneaking onto the Greek boat just to have a look around and distract herself just so happened to be one of those weak moments where she just needed a damn break. Some people would argue that Lux had already gotten enough of a break, a four-year one, but it wasn’t like she was laying on a beach during that time. She was basically running from monsters every second of the day while trying to find a new place to settle in. Obviously breaks were pointless though because she was back at Camp Jupiter and now she had a sword pointed at her throat.
A man, a man who looked too old to be a camper, came out of nowhere. Okay he didn’t come out of nowhere; he was on the boat and decided to confront the Roman intruder. For someone who had a sword pointed at her throat Lux looked a little too calm, actually she looked almost bored. Instead of screaming or pulling out her own sword she blew out smoke from the corner of her mouth and analyzed the man. He was older than a camper, probably in his twenties, he was rather attractive, and he seemed to mean business. Well he seemed to mean business until he let his sword drop slightly when he pulled out his own cigarette.
When his sword lowered a bit that was probably the best chance for her to make her own move, but she didn’t because she wanted to see where this would go. Some would think she was insane because this guy probably would kill her, but Lux had her own sort of logic and she almost always had a plan thought out. When he spoke again Lux smirked when he said he would slice off her head and place it on his mantle. This guy was ridiculous. Seriously first of all there was no way that Lux would ever let a Greek slice her head off and secondly if he did that he would probably start a war among the Romans and Greeks before they could solve the little problem with Gaea, so seriously this was all ridiculous.
Finally when he stopped talking Lux pulled the cigarette out of her mouth and blew out another cloud of smoke. Calm your shit Lux said bluntly, that was another thing about Lux she was rather blunt and upfront about her opinion, even if it stung or hurt someone. First of all you aren’t slicing my head off because that would start a war dumb ass Lux said with an eye roll. Secondly there’s no way in hell I would let a Greek be the death of me she said as she reached into her pocket and pulled out her lighter, which just so happened to have a dual function of turning into a beautiful imperial gold sword when she clicked it the right way. In turn she pointed her sword to his neck and said My name is Lux Bradshore, member of the third cohort, and daughter of Jupiter. Now who the hell are you?

Lucifer smirked at her words, a daughter of Zeus stood in front of him. Not only did a daughter of Zeus stand in front of him but she seemed to want a duel. In fact she even said that she would not allow a greek to best her. Now when it came to fighting, Lucifer was no ordinary Greek, he was a son of Ares/Mars.
He was not about to let this Roman walk away without a duel playing out now. Lucifer stood back a couple steps so that the tips of their swords would be the only things they touch, for now. With a cocky smirk, Lucifer said "With all that talking of yours, I think its safe to say that you want a duel. Am I right? Oh and about the mention of war, my father is Ares. So I strive on war."
Of course he never told her what his name is but he had wanted mystery at this point. Lucifer stood stock still while he waited for her to make a move. Lucifer watched on as he wanted to her to lunge toward him since he was expecting her to and had counter measures in place for a lunge. What he was not expecting was an attack from the side. In fact, he was not thinking the way a son of Ares should be at this point, he was distracted by her beauty thus why he was had not covered all points of attack. In other words there were many parts of his body which could be cut up right now.
Lucifer waited for her to lunge for him. Lucifer changed his mind about hurting her, he was just going to focus on disarming her and pointing both swords at her to prove that he could take her life if he wanted but at this point the question in his mind was 'how good is she?' The son of ares did wonder if this daughter of Zeus was a good fighter as he needed a good spar.
Ever since Annabeth has been with Percy, he has been trying to find someone else to spar with just in case she goes on a quest and he does not get to see her for a long while. Lucifer could not take his eyes off of the Roman girl's breasts once he lowered his sights to stare at her feet.

C A N T T A K E T H E K I D F R O M T H E F I G H T TAKE THE FIGHT FROM THE KID, JUST SIT BACK, JUST SIT BACK, JUST SIT BACK AND RELAX- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - All Lux wanted to do was check out the stupid boat. Really its not like she was jumping on board to spy or sabotage the Greeks, they were allies and Lux wasn’t an idiot. She knew that the Greeks were an asset even though she didn’t particularly enjoy having them at Camp Jupiter. It was weird having them there because they made the Camp different from what she remembered and that unnerved her a bit because she always thought that Camp Jupiter would stay the same. Even though she thought the ship was annoying that didn’t mean the only reason she snuck on was to get in some kind of fight, but apparently to this Greek that was the only reason a Roman could be on a Greek boat.
Seriously it was like everybody in the world thought Lux wanted to fight with them. If it wasn’t a demigod then it was a monster and if it wasn’t a monster then on the rare occasion it was a god or goddess, but seriously that only happened once. Lux got on the damn ship as a distraction, not to fight hoards of Greeks. Okay, so this one Son of Ares wasn’t a hoard, but in the past Lux has realized when one fight breaks out it tends to start a trend.
Lux didn’t see any hope of getting out of a duel though because even though the Roman form of this guy’s father wasn’t as temperamental Lux heard that the Greek personification, Ares, was a bit more unstable when it came to the chance to fight. Of course one of his kids would end up pointing swords and throwing down challenges that really shouldn’t have been thrown down. Now don’t take Lux’s lack of wanting to fight as her being unable to fight because this daughter of Jupiter knew how to fight. However she lacked the bloodlust that some other demigods had. Sure she would fight if she had to or if it was some fun between friends, but a serious fight that could be avoided was never that fun.
When the man, the man who didn’t even bother telling her his name, got into a position to fight Lux sighed and stomped out the remains of her cigarette. It was basically impossible to have a peaceful smoke anywhere anymore. When he drew another sword, practically screaming at her that he was waiting for her to lunge at him. This guy sure was an idiot at battle for a Son of Ares. For a second Lux debated on trying to just talk her way out of the fight but then she caught his eyes where they shouldn’t have been. After rolling her eyes, Lux smirked, said Wrong move dumb ass and attacked, but she didn’t lunge like he was expecting instead she went for his left side, hoping to slice a good chunk out of the idiot.

" Wrong move? We’ll see. Oh and my name ain’t dumbass, it’s Lucifer.” Withdrawing his second sword would give him an advantage as he was a lot agile with both wielded and he was a master at dual katana. As she moved to the left, he had to swiftly slide one of his blades to match her move, but he was too slow to completely stop her, but before her attack could prove to grant him severe wounds, he was able to block it. He was quite lucky actually, as if he had not been able to stop her, he may have suffered fatal wounds or worse, died. He smirked as he wanted to make sure in her eyes, he was still confident that he would be able to win this spar. Once he blocked her attack, he swung his other blade down toward her weapon in a swift move which if successful, he would be able to disarm her and finish off with both of his blades pointed at her throat while he stood upon her discarded sword.
If this move was unsuccessful, he would be vulnerable to an attack to his left shoulder which would force him to discard one of his katana, which would mean that he’d be have to fight one handed and it would be to his disadvantage from then on. Now of course, he has bounced back when it looked like the fight was no longer in his favour but his opponent this time was a daughter of one of the big three, so she could be the one who defeats him but only the next few seconds or minutes will determine this alternative. Crap, this girl is better than I actually thought. Lucifer could not believe how good she was, this was only by the mere fact that she was able to prove his prediction wrong and move to the side and actually cut up a part of his body. Lucifer smirked as he looked upon the form of his opponent, she was gorgeous but this was not the time for distractions and the son of Ares began to think the way he should think which was as a soldier and not fall for the trick of a beautiful woman and this trick was where they distract and red hot blooded male with their good looks. Well of course that what he had learned in his training.
Laughter filled the area as he began to laugh slightly, it was not out of humour but the fact that he was entertained in the way of combat; it was a sport to him. Lucifer took a step back, now if his attack to disarm her worked and he placed his blades at her throat and prove to her that he could have killed her but all he wanted was a spar, he would kick her blade up and catch it in his hands then bow to her as he held out her sword. Then he would say to her as he spoke. “That was fun, shall we go again, gorgeous?”
If he was unsuccessful, he would simply stepped back, hold out his one blade while he sheathed his other sword, even though moving the arm with the wounded shoulder would give him discomfort and pain, he would rather the pain than lose one of his own swords. Then he would simply speak these words. “Wow, who would have thought that a daughter of Zeus or as you call him, Jupiter would be this good. What do you say, shall we go another round?” Either way, he would want to spar this girl until the both of them could no longer stand from exhaustion. It was just the way he was, it was in his blood don’t forget.

Even though he was annoying he was quite good, he said he was the son of Mars…no wait its Ares, Lux kept forgetting to switch between Greek and Roman names because really the split personalities of the gods were tedious. Couldn’t they just stick with one name, but no of course they couldn’t the damn gods were never fans of fine and simple. You know I think I’ll stick to calling you dumbass for now, it sounds fitting Lux said bluntly, sometimes she really should think before she speaks.
The few things Lux was good at was fighting, which was pretty common among demigods. Most of the demigods didn’t think they could do anything right until they came to camp and realized the could shoot and arrow across a field and get a bulls eye or could fight with a sword like they’ve been using it since they were two. Lux had years of training and she was a natural, she wasn’t too good with all the intellectual stuff like Latin or memorizing the names of monsters and their weaknesses. She was levelheaded and knew how to fight, even though she almost always said what she was thinking.
Dumbass, or Lucifer, was good and Lux wasn’t one to degrade her opponents based on their combat skills, but she was questioning his intellect as you might tell from his nice little nickname. The move he made could have disarmed her, but Lux saw an opportunity and went for his left shoulder. Maybe if she was in a better mood she would have let the fight go on a bit, but really all she wanted to do was have a smoke and look at the damn boat. If the dumbass Greek guy hadn’t gotten in her way she might have actually gotten to see something good, but instead she was stuck fighting for no reason and Lux never really enjoyed a pointless fight. Lux fought to train or to protect, not for frivolous reasons like trespassing on a boat.
Fun? Lux questioned with a glare. He wanted to go again? Well no thank you, maybe a nice tour of the fine Greek cruise ship… er warship… that would be nice. Seriously though she had already spent most of her day at the barracks training, she just wanted to relax, something that was probably going to be impossible once the whole Great Prophecy thing goes down and there is another war, a war that she would have to participate in this time. Its not like Lux hadn’t wanted to fight in the last battle, but she simply couldn’t make it, by the time she found out she was on the other side of the world and she didn’t have a mode of transportation.
Actually I’d rather not fight again believe it or not I don’t want to spend all day beating the shit out of you Lux said matter of factly like she was talking about the weather. Maybe if you used your head to think instead of your sword you might realize that maybe I wasn’t on the boat to fight and I might just want to have a look around on the damn boat that is supposed to be flying us to war? It might not be fair that Lux was taking a bit of her anger out on Lucifer, but hey he was the one who pointed a sword at her first.

CODE “Fine, that was fun though, thank you for having the courage to fight me as there are not many in the Greek camp who dare to and the ones who I train with are busy with all this war bullshit, yes, as much as I love war, I do see all this fussing over the upcoming war to be somewhat pointless.” As hurt as he was, he did not care, pain was like a pleasure to him in a weird way, not a kinky way though, it was just glorious for him to feel the pain of wounds which he suffered from a fight. The war looming in all their minds was something which excited him but he disliked the fact that all of his fellow Greek demigods were running around like chickens with their heads cut off as they prepared for the war.
Lucifer chuckled softly as he turned to Lux, his eyes were piercingly expressionless at this moment, he was judging her at this stage, he then let his eye lids close over his eyes as he blinked and reopened them and smiled. With this smile he contemplated on whether or not to apologise to her for his actions and his entire demeanour changed slightly as he decided that he would say sorry. His lips parted slightly as he spoke, words did not emit from his vocal chords for about a minute as he could not formulate the apology into words and then his mind ticked over as he found words to say. Crap, what do I say, hmmmm. I know I should say sorry miss, I just love to fight and any chance I get, I take it as I have been itching for a fight for a long time but if you want, I can give you a tour or find someone else to give you one, oh and can we please start a fresh? He tried to find the right way to express the words that he had thought up as he did not want her to take him as a suck up and he did not want to come on too strongly. Then it hit him, why does he not just say an apology first, see how she reacts and then ask if they can start fresh. So he let his lips part once again and he said. “I am sorry about attacking you, I was getting bored just sitting here and needed to find something to amuse me for awhile.”

C A N T T A K E T H E K I D F R O M T H E F I G H T TAKE THE FIGHT FROM THE KID, JUST SIT BACK, JUST SIT BACK, JUST SIT BACK AND RELAX- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Just because at the moment Lux didn’t feel like spending the rest of her day sparring with Mister Tall Greek and Handsome over here didn’t mean that she wasn’t good at fighting. Actually the fact that she didn’t feel like fighting right now didn’t even mean that she didn’t enjoy a good fight. However her heart just wasn’t into it and she’s been training all day. All she needed now was a place she could relax without memories of what she used to have flooding in. Sure the Argo II wasn’t the best of places to pick, but Lux was limited in the places she could go that didn’t have some kind of memory attached to it because she had lived in New Rome and Camp Jupiter for over her life.
Courage to fight you? Lux repeated raising an eyebrow. It wasn’t courage that brought her on board and it wasn’t courage that put her in a fight with Señor Dumbass over here. Lucifer had attacked her, plain and simple. Grant it Lux had boarded the Greek ship without really getting permission to board… However that was besides the point and she had a feeling she would have been able to persuade some hormonal boy to give her a tour of the ship if she had really wanted to get on the ship with some form of permission.
Now Lux wasn’t particularly thrilled about being at camp, but she was there because of the war. She wouldn’t have been there if she hadn’t thought it were necessary for her to be there. Well her father had sent her back to camp and Lux had a feeling if she disobeyed it would be unpleasant but she had really not wanted to go back or saw no reason Lux wouldn’t be standing on a damn Greek boat now would she? The fact that he called it all pointless irked her for some reason. Maybe it was because he basically insulted the one of the two reasons she was back at this miserable place or maybe he just had a knack for pissing her off. I wouldn’t exactly call this pointless Lux said smoothly, a hint of anger in her eyes.
Well at least the guy knew how to apologize. However Lux couldn’t really find common ground on the whole feeling bored thing. Ever since she was a child she’s had something to do, some goal or some task. The few precious hours of downtime she ever had were spent keeping her sanity, like this moment she had right now. Well its nice to see you have the luxury of boredom Lux said calmly. Some thought it was an act that she could deliver almost any statement in a calm, reasonable way, but it just came naturally to her. Over the years she had just assumed that it was part of the whole natural born leader to be good at hiding what you were really thinking and feeling. So are you going to show me around the ship or not? Lux asked a hint of irritation in her voice because lets face it this Lucifer guy had postponed her self appointed tour around the ship, so she figured he might as well be of some use and give her a tour after the trouble he’s caused.
