ANYTHING ELSE:Cassandra hates anything that has to do with her past, her mother, and grandmother. She sees only bad things that can come from them, mostly her mother’s own vanity. She desires more than anything to feel loved, but, she’s also afraid of it, because of all of the myths, and her mother’s own untimely end. She likes to feel like she’s on top of things, even when she’s not. She hates feeling useless in any situation, just wanting to be able to help, because of the situation with her mom, she’s afraid to try.
When it comes to her name, she doesn’t mind any variation of it. She likes hanging out with her aunts and uncles, as long as they are not complete airheads. The one thing she can’t stand is when people call her her mother’s name or her grandmothers, even if it is just referencing how she looks. She hates the fact that she looks like her mother and grandmother, but likes her looks all the same. Sometimes, to avoid this, she will change the color of her hair and eyes slightly, but always goes back to the original color. She will do almost anything to prove that she is not like her mother and grandmother. The one thing that she does want like them is to be a mother. IT wouldn’t matter to her if the father was involved or not, just as long as she would have her baby, that would be all that would matter to her. She wants to be her own person, if anything, a little to much. This is her one true fatal flaw.

HISTORY:
Cassandra Evelyn Black was born on February 11, to Danielle Black (Summers) , daughter of an Italian wine tycoon and Venus, and Nathaniel Black. Her first few hours of life were the only time she got to spend with her father, which she would later regret. Her father had to fly out to Italy, to check on the winery Danielle’s father owned, claiming he would be back in three days. He would do anything for his wife, and newborn daughter. Three days later, on February 14, she was released from the hospital, and taken to the two bedroom apartment her parents owned in New York. Her mother laid her down to sleep, and poured some wine for herself and Nathan when he got home from the airport. After waiting for half an hour, she heard a knock on the door. She walked to the door and opened it and got the news that sent her self-revolved world into a down spiral, her husband had died in a car crash, having slid off the road.
Danielle Black lost the will to live after Nathaniel’s death, and moved away from New York and to Los Angeles with her daughter. She raised her daughter for the first few years as well as she could, but her own vanity often got in the way of it. She would often leave her daughter with sitters and go to modeling agencies and do shoots. Cassandra’s earliest memories were of her mother coming home, often covered in obnoxious amounts of perfume and absurd amounts of makeup on. Whenever Cassandra was four, she was enrolled in an all-day preschool, and afterwards was often taken to the apartment she shared with her mother. Whenever Cassandra was five, her mother sent her to a private school in Los Angeles. She often spent her nights in her room, locked inside while her mother and her ‘male friends’ were having a date. Every relationship lasted different amounts of time, but they almost always ended in drunken fights, more than likely, started by her mother. Her mother’s own vanity was her own fatal flaw, and even the young Cassandra Black knew this. Cassandra was diagnosed with ADHD and Dyslexia at the age of eight. School became increasingly hard for her, and her mother did little to help her. Cassandra often depended on herself to get ready for school the next morning. Her mother often asleep on the couch for hours, from her late night photo shoots and dates.
Whenever Cassandra was eleven, her mother started dating a man named Joshua Gates. Cassandra liked him for all of five seconds. He began to hit her mother, and Cassandra at one point. Her mother never protested in his beatings, and she didn’t even realize what was wrong anymore. He loved her, she needed to feel loved. He said he loved her, so it was alright. After nine months of this, Cassandra eventually got her mother to break up with him. Though neither of them took it very well, Cassandra tried to be there for her mother. Though her mother’s own arrogance and vanity took precedence over her daughters love for her. Three months later, they were walking through the streets of Los Angeles, her mother on her way to another audition, boosting loudly and proudly to her daughter, the unfortunate listener. Joshua Gates, angry and possessive, ran into them, quickly getting into a heated argument with Danielle, telling her she was going to take him back. When she refused, he pulled out a gun and after a little more arguing, her shot her. Her mother’s last words were not of her love of her daughter, or insuring her daughter was safe, but of herself. The words that Cassandra remembers to this day where “at least he didn’t shoot me in the face, I’m still the most beautiful thing he’ll ever see.” With that, Cassandra lost all respect and love she’d ever had for her. Joshua Gates was arrested and tried for murder, but that never changed Cassandra’s feelings of her hatred. She hated them both equally now, there was no thought in her mind that made her think otherwise.
She spent a month living with her mother’s friend, Monica. This short time was the only time in her life that she felt like she was actually cared about. After a few weeks with her, she ran into an older boy that she did not know. He simply told her that he knew her mother, and that she was special. Cassandra, liking the fact that he called her special, agreed to go with him. The pair went to Monica’s house, packed up her things, and the boy explained some things to Monica about where he was taking her, leaving the details very vague. That was when she was taken to Camp Jupiter. She met Lupa, and was quite thoroughly confused when she did meet her, though she was more shocked than anything. She spent the next eight years there training hard. Her hatred of her grandmother and mother never lessened as time went on, if anything it increased. The only family she found comfort around was her half aunts and uncles, of whom she could only stand around those who were not to vain or obnoxious. Whenever she was sixteen she got a tattoo on her lower back of a dove, because of her grandmother. Her belief in love has been challenged many times, and she in recent times doubts it truelly exsists, because in her life, love has only caused tragedy.
