ANYMORE
LIKES: taking things, observing, doodling, swimming, hiking, swordplay
DISLIKES: rejection, failing to be sneaky, forgetting things, losing his stuff, his own things being stolen
STRENGTHS: stealing, cracking codes/safes, swords
WEAKNESSES: easily fooled, gullible, archery, flying
DREAMS: find a BIG treasure chest full of gold
FEARS: being locked in a tight space, losing his way, losing his mother
FATAL FLAW: He trusts too easily.
PREFERED WEAPON: dagger
ABILITIES: Can crack any safe, box, a door lock, etc.
ANYTHING ELSE: Viktor is a tricky fellow. He loves going with the crowd and looking at others for guidance. A master of mimicry, Viktor learns quickly. He, like most Hermes kids, have a knack for stealing things. It's an impulse he has, and he can't seem to stop himself whenever the scene calls for it. If someone leaves they're purse open, he just can't help but look inside and steal whatever he finds interesting.
Viktor has always had a fun side, and likes to make others laugh. He likes to play petty pranks and participate in fun activities. He can never stand still, and if he is still, it's because he's drawing something- he loves art. As for the whole English language- he's not at all good at saying some things, and as for the ling-o? Forget it. He doesn't tend to get embarassed too easy, and tends to act nonchalant and in an off-hand manner if it's something drastic. However, he does fear for his friends and family, and will fight for them dearly. He's not at all that faithful in the gods, and sometimes believes most of the things he sees aren't real. He has a slight bitterness toward Hermes, mostly because he didn't help his mother in raising him, and he didn't help her get rid of the people now after her. He vows to keep his mother safe, and even if he is a long way from her, he still checks up on her to see if she's alright in New York.
His fatal flaw is trust. He trust others much too easy. He's also gullible, and will more than likely believe whatever you tell him, if you sound convincing enough- oh and sarcasm- he really doesn't know what that is. Poor fellow can seem sort of slow at times, and doesn't catch on very fast- but when he does, he will surely try to remember whatever you told him, but his memory isn't that good y'know. Viktor can seem sort of mysterious in a way, because he doesn't interact with a lot of people unless approached, but when you do start to know him- you'll find out he's a very nice guy, and will be a good ally in battle, not only for his strength in swordsplay, but he's extremely loyal to whoever befriends him. Watch out though, he might get led astray by some unwanted foe.

OLYMPIAN PARENT: Hermes
MOTHER/FATHER: Helen Leonov
SIBLINGS: other Hermes children
PETS: n/a
HISTORY: Viktor's mother, Helen Leonov, was seen by Hermes as a calculating woman- not only that, but her cunning tactics for crime. Yes, it's true that Helen was in the Russian Mafia- or at least, that's what you think. She was good at breaking into banks, decoding safes, working around security- sure she was good, perhaps that's why the bratvas (brotherhood is what the mafia call themselves) took such an interest in her talents. Her father was, after all, a late member of the group, he did not want his own daughter swept up in the mess however, so he got out- but no one leaves the bratvas. So, he was shortly killed after abandoning the group.
Of course, having a relationship with a god ultimately ends in a child. Helen had her first son, Viktor, a few months after the affair with Hermes (he had been acting as a Russian bus boy non-surprisingly when they met). She was distraught- not just because Hermes up and left her to raise him on her own-, but she had very little money. She got paid monthly salaries sure, but they never lasted the entire month before they ran out. She raised Viktor, constantly getting his aunt to look after him while she was away on 'business'. Viktor mean-while did what most young Russian babies did- he got into places he shouldn't- but Viktor was a little more trouble-some than normal kids.
Like most, he was sent off to school at around age five, an all boys school (uniform and all), he was taught discipline, and the punishment for doing something out of hand was met with the classic stick-slapping 'ow that hurt!' procedure. However, because of who Viktor was, in blood, made it hard for him to stop acting wrong. He stole of course, he is a son of Hermes, and was awfully hyper-active. ADD actually, like most demigods.
His mother was visited by Hermes on the night of Viktor's tenth birthday, a little late too- monsters had started to patrol around the neighborhood, sniffing out any demigod they could find. There was a close call with him once, and Viktor almost got snatched up by a panther/eagle monster. Anyway, Hermes told Helen about who he really was, and what Viktor was like because of that reason. She didn't believe him at first, but soon started to understand why all these strange things were occurring to her son, and why he was so much more....troublesome than other kids his age. (getting many demerits from his teachers at his schools)
Viktor never blew up any part of his schools (he did steal from a lot of them however), but he did however get kicked out of one or two for being caught for some serious crimes (like writing on the school walls in permanent marker, and other sorts of vandalism).
His mother waited to tell Viktor for a very long time, mostly because well, she didn't want to send her son away to the camp they stated- but times were still tough for her with the Mafia. She hated being apart of it, because even if it payed the bills, she knew it was wrong when it came to murders and such. So, she was able to save up the next 3 salary moneys she got, and she took Viktor and flew off to New York, New York.
Viktor was around fifteen then, and once they left cold, harsh Russia- the monsters became much more rampant. You see, the harsh climate before had made Viktor less likely to get spotted (or scented out), and he stayed in doors most of the time, where monsters weren't usually. But now that they were in the infamous New York- monsters turned up every other day outside their apartment. Helen finally had to let her son in on the secret- both secrets. About how she had to move away from the Mafia (even though they weren't entirely safe in new york) and then the big news about him being half human AND half god.
Viktor took the news quite bad- he wasn't very faithful in such tales, and knew close to zero about anything to do with Greek, or the gods. However, he had no choice but to go to the place of safe haven- he had to because if he didn't, his mother might eventually get hurt by one of the strange beasts out for his blood. So, in the end, Viktor accepted it, and went to the camp. He really didn't know all that much English- but they did take classes the first months after they moved into America- and so, he knows some of the basic stuff. Slang, and big words will most likely confuse him however.
At camp, he got accepted a few days after joining by his father, Hermes. He sort of got why he was the way he was because of who his father was the god of. Thieves. Yup, that sounded like him.
Anywho, Viktor has been at camp for one year, and has learned a few (rather lame) phrases in English, but he does speak Russia most of the other time (to himself usually). Now the camp has been completely extricated from their location- and now Viktor finds himself all the way in California, in this new camp named Camp Jupiter.

ROLE-PLAY SAMPLE:
It was a warm, dimly lit morning midst the pridelands. Kovu had woken up earlier than the others. He hadn't slept well during the night, due to some bad dreams. It wasn't unusual for the ex-outlander to have such dreams, well more like nightmares. It had been a little over a month since the final show-down and the new merge of the two prides- and his mother's death.
Kovu had not only been having the sudden reawakened nightmares about his adoptive father, Scar, but ever since that fateful night- he'd been having some unnerving images of his mother falling to her death. He knew Kiara had attempted to save the grudging feline- but his mother... she was stubborn, and dead-on about avenging Scar's death... She hadn't taken the offer of help, and had supposedly died after falling into the running current of water.
He closed his eyes at the memory and when he opened them again, Kovu was staring down at his own reflextion. The scar across his left eye seemed to stand out more broadly than ever. The pit of his stomach ached with a pain he could not come to terms with. He knew it was probably for the best...but it was still hard letting go. She was his mother after all. But it wasn't just his mother's death making him grieve more than usual- the dreams he'd been having, their becoming more constant, and it's not making Kovu get better any quicker. Perhaps he should talk with Kiara- or maybe Simba, seeing as the king's pretty good with explaining those sorts of things; like letting go of lost ones.
Ever after all this time, Kovu still has to question his inner self- is he truly cured of his past's haunts? The training he'd been through, the lies about Simba, and how Scar had been killed in cold blood by the returned king... No, those were just lies- Kovu trusted Simba enough to know that the king had not lied to him when he explained Scar's burning hatred, jealousy toward his brother which led him to murder him and run Simba out as a cub...
things will get better Kovu told himself, hoping this would be the case, he couldn't be in a slump forever, right? At that moment, the young consort prince turned and padded back up the bank, out of the gorge and toward Pride Rock. He'd be alright, as long as he had Kiara and the pride- he wouldn't fall into the trail of darkness again. That was something he was faithful in.
