Since the Greeks had arrived, Percy had been doing his best to reconnect with all his old friends. Obviously Annabeth had been at the top of his list, but now he was making his way down. Next up was one of his "cousins", Isabella. She was a daughter of Zeus, and the two had bonded quite a bit at Half-Blood. Percy thought it was funny, because Bella was known for her overbearing, sometimes aggressive attitude, much like her father. But the two cousins had developed a great friendship, both looking out for each other and caring about each other immensely. And just because Mother Earth was threatening their world didn't mean they were going to forget their family bonds, even if her dad was being annoyingly absent.
The two had planned to meet up at the Lake in New Rome. Percy thought it was odd that Bella wanted to be near the water. He had always assumed that for Children of Zeus, the water and ocean were like the skies and lightning for him: not welcoming. But apparently, it was just his paranoia that kept him out of the air. The son of Poseidon had arrived early, just because he loved being around any bodies of water so much. He had even worn a pair of swimming trunks, because he knew he would end up wading around at the least.
Upon arrival, he immediately took his shirt off and dove in. He stayed under for a good four or five minutes, observing the water, feeling it, enjoying it. The day was rather sunny, making it very enjoyable, thank you Apollo!, and Percy felt great. Surfacing again, finally, he saw his cousin walking toward him. "Oh hey there Bella!" He shot out of the water and ran to give her a big hug. This would be the first time they got some one on one time, and he was very excited for it. People expected the guy to be always in control and a leader, but the seventeen year old wouldn't let that peer pressure keep him from enjoying his life otherwise still.
