Aquarius Jenkins "Am I or am I not?"
The temple dedicated to Neptune was near empty. Only one teen aged boy devoted his time to being within the confines of his father's honour in mortal form. Today Damian is questioning an age old question of his own personal entity. He had been questioning it for some time but with everything that had gone on over the last number of months, it had to be answered as soon as possible. Damian had to know whether or not he was . . . you know, gay. Personally, the demigod believed that maybe just maybe he would be able to connect with people more easily if he could accept himself on all levels.
A sigh came across his lips. Life had got so complicated ever since the camping weekend and Damian just plummeted into just whole new world of mythology. Mythology is meant to be disputable in fact, not certain information. To think when Damian arrived at Camp Half-Blood, he thought everything was a response to some elaborate trick or evidence of a mental breakdown. He was the son of the God of the Sea, a powerful deity in Greek understanding of how the world works.
That's why he was in the temple now. Having come round to the idea of having ancient Greek heritage and now traveled across from east to west America in a flying ship, Damian needed to speak . . . with his father. Even if it is his dad but not his dad. That was one thing Damian didn't understand. How could the gods have more than one identity with whole new personalities and looks and everything? It didn't matter. The statue in front of the demigod was the closest attempt Damian had to ever meeting Poseidon. Or Neptune. Or whoever his dad was. If Poseidon/Neptune were to appear in the flesh, what would he see in front of him? Would it be positive?

Asher’s whole body was aching. He had just gotten out of an awful training session and all he really wanted was a huge cup of coffee from Starbucks. But for some reason everyone at the roman camp didn’t care for Starbucks because no matter how hard he looked he still couldn’t find one. What was with this place? It was almost like they didn’t like coffee. Asher lived for the stuff. Before he had left home his mother had tried to get him to switch to decaf but what was the point in that? Half the fun of drinking coffee was getting hyper afterwards.
Asher walked down an unfamiliar street still searching helplessly for his beloved Starbucks when he stumbled upon what looked like a small crumbling temple of sorts. It was tiny compared to the ones next to it and it looked as if it hadn’t been cared for at all. There was a slight layer of dust on the walls and a few crumbling stones in places. Asher’s curiosity got the better of him and he just had to poke his head in. It was smaller on the inside than he thought and was almost completely deserted save for a boy standing near the entrance.
The boy looked about Asher’s age with unruly hair. He looked familiar but Ash was almost sure that they had never spoken before. They had probably seen each other at Camp Half blood or something like that. Asher almost felt as if he were intruding but being him he walked in anyway. “What is this place?” He wondered aloud as he glanced around. The room was pretty bare and shabby looking to say the least but at the same time it seemed special in an odd way. Maybe this was where they were planning on building a Starbucks! Yeah, the building was a bit small but it could definitely work! Bits of paint here, a bit of dusting there and voila! An amazing Starbucks with mochas and all. That would just make his day. Heck, it would make his whole week.
Asher suddenly glanced up at the boy standing in front of him with his head tilted to the side. The boy looked familiar all of a sudden. “Hey,” Asher said slowly as thoughts ran quickly through his mind of places he could have seen him before. “You’re a son of Poseidon aren’t you?” He said swiftly. Asher was almost positive he had seen him before but who knew there were so many people a this camp that he might have just seen someone that looked a bit like him.
